Subject:Getting into the swing of LJ
Security:Public

In the interest of expanding my use of LJ, I finally added some more friends. Yeah! I'm looking forward to how this thing works and, of course, talking about Mitch baby in any of his reincarnations.

Hey, any of you Big Love fans?

Thanks to Kim for an explanation of how best to utilize LJ. It's different than I expected. It feels so public for such a private thing as a journal. In thinking out how to use it, I had an epiphany: Movie Reviews. Me and mine are movie people. We see near everything -- usually in the theater. My kids can name an actor from a 1950s film -- can't touch me at Scene It! The one thing we all still enjoy together inspite of the teenage "hate it" mentality of my kids is playing trivia at a restaurant -- of course movie or TV. I'm terrible at music, but actally getting better as I get older.

Pink Panther: 6.5
Cute, but no priceless moments like Austin Powers -- although I wasn't completely in love with that when I first exited the theater. I think the thing with the Austin Powers movies was in the re-living. The scenes (like in Monty Python) that are retold and impersonated. I guess it will take time to see if that happens with Pink Panther, but aside from "Ham - bug - ehhhhrrrr," I don't think I see that happening. Can't do better than Steve Martin and Kevin Kline. I also like Jean Reno. I kept wondering how Kevin Kline would be in the role, though. After "A Fish Called Wanda" and "French Kiss," I know he's be up to the task.

Surpise, surprise, I joined the Yahoo group that loves Caldwell/Weir. I asked the questino how many people come from the Skinner side of things. The answer was very few, which I'm loving. I was able to bring joy into their lives by passing on the famous (at least in Skinner/Scully) circles of MP playing Volleyball. How fun! I'm surprised there aren't mroe Skinner fans there, though, with the exception of KimontheJounrney and ObsidianGirl.

Politics: Former republican turned liberal. Even so, Liked Bush senior. Bush junior has Helter Skelter eyes. Always thought so, but his handling of 911, "evil/good" breakdown of the situatino, scared the shit of me -- like most Europeans. Knew the whole Iraq thing was bogus from the start...no one would listen. Patriotism can be overdone at times. See Uncover: the Truth About Iraq. Less obviously slanted that Michael Moore's version.

Hmmmm....favorite shows right now: Numbers, Project Runway, Ghost Hunters, Gilmore Girls, Grey's Anatomy

Favorite Actors: Mitch baby, Sean Bean (Boromir), Scott Patterson, Kyle Chandler (especially after Grey's Anatomy).

Huge Lord of the Rings fan

Love documentaries and History Channel

Currently exploring eyetoy for Playstation2: Kinetics for exercise.

Gotta go!

Oh, Now I see the security section of the journal. Well, there's nothing too personal in this, so enjoy.

I discovered "LJ" when looking for more Caldwell/Weir stories from SGA. It looks interesting, but I'm not sure how I'll use it yet -- I guess I'll have to check it out more to see how this whole thing works. Any ideas? Suggestions? Help!
